Former Brentwood Soccer Club player Jamie Achten of Lee University was named 2010 NAIA Women’s Soccer Player of the Year for 2010.
Jamie is a junior forward at Lee University. She helped guide the Lady Flames to their third-straight National Championship with a 3-0 win over Hastings (Neb.) on Dec. 4. In five games played at the event, she scored four goals, assisted on four others and finished with 12 points. Achten ended her junior campaign ranking first nationally in total assists (22), second in game-winning goals (8), fourth in assists per game (0.96) and fifth in total points (60).
She is the second three-time All-American in Lee’s program history, joining Janaina Novaes (2005-07) and is the second Lady Flame to be named Player of the Year.
