Over the years many Brentwood Soccer Club alumni have gone on to play in the college ranks. This area of the web site provides information about these players.

Former BWSC Players Help Belmont Win Tourney

 

Former Brentwood players Jamie Bullock, Anna Holt and Jaymie Loftis helped Belmont University to a victory at the Atlantic Sun Tournament in November. Belmont finished the season at 15-7-1, advancing to the NCAA Division I tournament. The Bruins lost to Auburn 0-2 in the first round, thus ending the most successful season in Bruins Soccer history.

Anna and Jamie were both members of the State Champions U18 Brentwood Excel team, and Anna is currently a coach for the club.

Brentwood Players Help Lee University win NAIA National Championship

Lee University (Cleveland, TN) won the NAIA National Championship on Saturday defeating an undefeated Concordia University (Illinois) 3-0 in the finals. Kristen Carbine and Jamie Achten, both former Brentwood Real Madrid players are on the team and played a significant role in helping Lee University achieve this victory.

Freshman Jamie Achten was named the NAIA National Tournament’s Top Offensive Player and scored the first goal vs. Concordia University in the finals. Jamie was also named an NAIA 1st Team All-American, following up an honor as NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season. She led Lee University with 22 goals and 22 assists on the season.

Former BWSC Players Shine in College


Hailey Hull, formerly of Brentwood United ’89, marks current Olympian Amy Rodriguez of USC while playing at the University of Alabama.

Natalie Aaron, Freshman at the University of South Carolina was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after she scored the game winning goal vs. UT on Friday night and then the game tying goal vs. Georgia yesterday afternoon.
 
Jamie Achten was named the NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week last week. Jamie plays for Lee University (#2 in the nation) and they beat the then #2 and #5 team in the country and Jamie scored 3 goals and had 3 assists in the victories 2 weekends ago.
 
Jessica Smith (GK) was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week last week after Furman upset Clemson University and beat USC Upstate. Jessica played in goal for all 180 minutes last week in both of those victories.
