Coaching Philosophy:
Everybody has the ability to learn and improve given the right conditions. Football players are no different. As a coach I hope to be a role model to my peers and players. I want to coach in a manner that is both confident and innovative, open to ideas but steadfast in my approach with regard to my own personal ideas on how the game of football should be played.
My aim is to ensure that every individual I coach meet their potential as a person and as a player. If I can develop players’ abilities, both individually and as a team, in a safe, happy, disciplined environment which helps empower them on and off the pitch, then I believe the end result will be success. Whilst I agree that football is important to an enormous amount of people I would like to coach in a way that takes pressure of players who are expected to meet unrealistic demands. However, winning is important and we don’t play to lose! To that end I hope that as a coach I can enable my teams to win more than they loose but do so in a manner that means that whatever the result, it is only viewed as an inevitable consequence of participating in a game we chose to play in the right way! Football is after all just a game and should be enjoyed by all concerned. Without enjoyment you cannot really be successful in the long term. Without enjoyment there is no point!
