On May 31, 2009, we defeated FC 93G Alliance Black (formerly Velocity) 2-1 to win our fourth consecutive state title. Unlike past years, we started slowly in this year’s tournament, tying the Knoxville Crush 1-1 in the opening game, but fortunately we rebounded the following day to defeat Midsouth Futbol Club 2-0 to advance to the final game. In the finale, Ashley Ruttencutter scored early to give us a 1-0 lead. After the Alliance tied the game midway through the second half, Sara B. DeLozier quickly scored the game-winner with an assist from Hannah McGowen (after a nice cross from Sydney Eddy). Thanks to Coach Czubik and Coach Matt and especially the girls for another successful title run, and . . . GO PREMIER!!
