On June 1, 2008, we won our third consecutive state title, defeating SMSC Velocity 1-0 in the championship game. A two seed, we beat MFC Strikers (2-0) and Memphis Futbol Club (4-0) in pool play before advancing to play Velocity in the finals. In the finale, Hannah McGowen scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal midway through the first half. Congratulations to the girls, Coach Czubik and Coach Matt, and GO ELITE!!
